Subject says it all, go home. :P

Nah, but I'm feeling very happy anyway. I rewrote the Gob/Nova/Charon fic I was working on, literally rewrote it because I realized that a lot of the dissatisfaction I was having with overall flow and phrasing wasn't going to change unless I actually opened it up in a new doc and typed it up again while looking at the previous draft in another window. It made me a lot more willing to eliminate unnecessary words and tighten my phrasing, that's for sure.

I have also been plinking away with Danse Does Vegas revisions, but have hit the unfortunate realization that I'm going to have to actually reoutline this entire thing. And...probably suck it up and rewrite the entire thing the way I did the Gob/Nova/Charon fic. Which is a lot more daunting for a 20k+-word fic than something that's less than 4k.

I also fell in love with a prompt for Press Start, and wrote it as a treat! Or at least wrote the first draft of it, let's see if it actually goes anywhere.

I have also finally finished up my old Mead writing notebook and started a new one!

I'm going to visit my family next week and will be bringing my copy of Steering the Craft to work on while I'm there, but I'm not expecting anything else wildly productive. :') Just good times.

And while not WIPs, I am very excited for a bunch of library books I want to check out when I get back!!!! I keep some saved searches for book recs and things I want to request from the library. The book recs list is at 213, and my 'short list' of books I want to read soon is...uh, at 19 books.

....some of them are novellas, so surely I'm not that in over my head, am I?

Best of luck with your revisions! Rewriting things can be horrifying, but hopefully it all comes together. I know the last thing I had to massively rewrite led to me writing 11k new words instead of, you know, cutting down on the word count. Writing is funny like that.

Yay Press Start treat! :D hope that goes well, too!

Ooo are you reading Steering the Craft for the GYWO book club? I'm having a hard time trying to figure out what to read, but that's one of the few on the list I haven't read and wasn't sure if it was any good.

Completely get both the biting off more than you can chew sentiment along with knowing you need to put effort into this if you want it to improve. It can be difficult to balance, but we got this!

That's awesome! I have added it to my library holds and will hopefully get a copy before the book club kicks off :D thanks for the insight!

I love Gob <3 and Gob/Nova/Charon sounds wonderful. It always feels good when you break through something that's been bugging you with a fic.

Sounds like you have been quite busy, creatively and otherwise! I hope you have a lovely visit with your family, and also enjoy many library books when you return!
