oh my goddddd I am full of salt about Tolkien too but also fully admit that in order to discuss and argue my points I would have to be a whole lot more invested in the Tolkien canon than I am! And I see no reason to bury myself in lore that I do not enjoy in order to write an essay I do not enjoy about why I do not enjoy the thing!!!! :P Though agreed on the perils of reading absolute parallels in fiction; mostly ends up a way into quick clusterfuck territory of problematic and unintended implications!
I've noped out of Fallout for long enough that I don't recall a lot of dunking on Myrna, but that's probably sheer luck more than anything else. Though now I'm nostalgic for another playthrough, to revisit the places and characters. *sighs in selective memory*
